Focus on the NOW. Trust God with the NEXT

Faithful in the NOW!

We spend so much of our lives looking ahead—wondering, planning, worrying about what’s next. The future pulls at us with steady tugs. Sometimes it’s fear—fear of what might happen or what might never happen.

Sometimes it’s loneliness—that quiet emptiness that consistently sends it quiet reminders that you are lacking in some area. And sometimes it’s simply the uncertainty of what is coming next. But Scripture reminds us that God meets us in the present. He gives daily bread, daily grace, daily strength.

Sometimes the enemy doesn’t have to derail us; he only has to distract us. And nothing distracts quite like the “next”—the next season, the next breakthrough, the next answer, the next door of opportunity.  But God does not ask us to figure out the future. He invites us to be faithful where our feet are right now, today.

Hope is not in what is coming tomorrow; there is hope in today.

Not because it’s perfect, but because God is here.

When we slow down long enough to live in the “now,” we discover that God is already preparing us for whatever is coming. We don’t have to hurry into the next season; it will arrive at the perfect moment, bringing its own provision with it. Our part is simple: walk with Him today. Listen for His voice today. Obey in the small things today.

What's coming next will come. And when “next” finally comes...we’ll find that the God who met us in the present has faithfully shaped us for the future.

Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.   Matthew 6:34
